The Beauty of Starting Over (Even When You Didn’t Plan To)

There was a time in my life when I thought everything had to go according to plan.
I thought I needed the perfect job, the perfect relationship, the perfect timeline, and the perfect version of myself before I could finally feel happy.
Life had other plans.
Over the last few years, I’ve learned that starting over isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it looks like quietly choosing yourself. Sometimes it means letting go of things that no longer fit the person you’re becoming. And sometimes it means taking a deep breath and trusting that what’s ahead is better than what’s behind you.
If I’m being honest, starting over can be uncomfortable.
It’s waking up and realizing your priorities have changed.
It’s admitting that certain dreams no longer excite you.
It’s accepting that healing isn’t a straight line.
But I’ve also discovered that some of the most beautiful chapters of life begin in those uncertain moments.
The little in-between moments.
The moments when you’re not who you used to be, but you’re not quite who you’re becoming yet.
That’s where growth happens.
That’s where confidence is built.
That’s where you learn to trust yourself again.
Lately, I’ve been focusing less on having all the answers and more on enjoying the journey. Whether that’s planning my next trip, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, working on personal goals, or simply taking a walk to clear my mind, I’m learning that happiness often lives in the small moments we overlook.
Maybe you’re starting over too.
Maybe you’re healing from something.
Maybe you’re chasing a new dream.
Or maybe you’re simply learning how to enjoy life again.
Whatever season you’re in, I hope you remember this:
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You just have to keep moving forward.
One small step at a time.
One little in-between moment at a time.
