It’s officially September 1st, and I had a moment today that stopped me in my tracks. In just four months, it will be 2026. Time is flying, yet I feel like I’ve been standing still. I’ve been carrying this question inside of me: am I too old to be starting over? The truth is, I know I need a reset.

Since my 30s began, I’ve felt like I’ve been on pause. I’m 34 now, turning 35 in December, and I often catch myself wondering what I truly want, what I need, and even how I’m supposed to feel in this season of my life. Last year, I went on a fitness journey that made me proud, but lately I’ve been slacking. Not because I don’t care, but because life just feels “blah.”

And yet, every single day I wake up blessed. Life is beautiful, but that doesn’t mean I feel fulfilled. Something clicked for me recently: I’m not happy in California. Maybe my next chapter isn’t here. Maybe I need a new environment where I can finish raising my child, where we can grow together in a fresh space with new energy.

Then comes the career part. I find myself jumping from one job to another, knowing deep down I don’t want either. What I want is freedom. I want to run my business full-time. I want to make money in my sleep. I want to travel the world and live on my own terms. That has always been my dream, even if it isn’t everyone else’s.

But if I’m being honest, fear has been holding me back. The fear of people judging me if I walk away from the traditional career path. The fear of people labeling me as lazy or unmotivated if my business doesn’t take off right away. The fear of being seen as less than.

Still, deep in my heart, I know my truth. My truth is blogging. My truth is creating and growing my skincare business. My truth is building a life where I’m in control, and then eventually investing to create generational wealth. That is what feels right for me.

Change is scary, even for someone like me who always tells others not to fear it. I’ve been working since I was a teenager, but I’ve always carried the spirit of an entrepreneur. I’ve always wanted to be my own boss, to lead my own program, to build something from the ground up. And change, while uncomfortable, is the only way forward.

I’ve realized that living life for other people’s applause or to avoid their judgment is no way to live at all. I need to clap for myself. I need to make choices that honor my happiness and my growth.

So here’s where I stand today. I’m ready. Ready to move to a new state. Ready to step into a new career path. Ready to blog consistently and grow my skincare business into something powerful. Ready to live in my authenticity without apology.

Yes, I’m afraid of change. But I’m more afraid of staying stuck in the same place for the rest of my life. And that truth alone is enough to push me forward.

How about you…

Are you afraid of change? Are you afraid to take steps that will lead you to a new life?
